Michael Weiser is the Managing Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions and the President of GFI Realty Services, Inc. He spearheads the commercial real estate affiliate, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire brokerage team and driving their growth and development. During his 15 year tenure at GFI, he has been involved in hundreds of sales, finance, and acquisition/disposition transactions totaling close to $10 Billion.
Mr. Weiser has a strong understanding of the many facets of commercial real estate and is instrumental in the completion of negotiations and closings for his clientele.
Since joining GFI in 1996, Mr. Weiser has been involved in countless transactions on behalf of GFI’s clients. Mr. Weiser received his BS in accounting from Brooklyn College.
Scott Ferguson serves as Vice President of Acquisitions/Asset Management for GFI Capital Resources Group. His primary responsibility is sourcing, underwriting and closing acquisition opportunities in the western United States. Mr. Ferguson’s career includes 17 years dedicated exclusively toward multifamily acquisitions and dispositions. To date he has closed transactions which total in excess of $1 billion. Prior to joining GFI, Mr. Ferguson served as Director of Acquisitions for The Milestone Group, where he was responsible for acquisitions in Texas, Colorado and Arizona.
Mr. Ferguson’s career includes 7 years with The Archon Group (a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs), where he was Director of Multifamily Investments. During his tenure with Archon he completed 50 transactions totaling more than 17,500 units. Mr. Ferguson has also served as an Assistant Vice President of Acquisitions / Dispositions for UDR and as a controller for Lincoln Property Company. Mr. Ferguson received a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 1985 and a M.B.A. in Real Estate Investment from The University of North Texas in 1993. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and he hold his CCIM designation.
Tyler Edwards is an Acquisition Associate with GFI Realty Services, Inc. where he is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, financial analysis and underwriting, and property due diligence. Prior to GFI, Mr. Edwards worked as a Regional Asset Manager at The Chart Organization where he managed a team of on-site facility managers in Long Island, New York. In addition, he worked as an Analyst for Mixology Clothing Co. where he was responsible for performing market analysis for new brick and mortar locations as well as negotiating new leases on behalf of the firm.
Mr. Edwards earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from The George Washington University School of Business. While at GWU, Mr. Edwards was a founding member of the Real Estate Investment and Development Organization as part of GWU’s initiative to implement a more hands on real estate learning
experience and to connect current students with alumni in the real estate industry.
