Brighton Beach gets a 22-story tower July 6, 2017

A 22-story apartment building is coming to Brighton Beach courtesy of Rybak Development, The Real Deal has learned. This particular site at 271 Sea Breeze Avenue has been mired in troubles for a while now. The previous owner took out a construction loan on the site, but then defaulted on it, and eventually had to file for bankruptcy. Rybak has now closed on the site, and is planning 114 apartments spread out over 22 floors with a 32,000-square-foot community facility, and parking for 200 cars. In 2006, a 21-story tower was also proposed for this site.
