GFI Management Launches Updates to GFI University Online Learning Management System Powered by The Training Factor
GFI Management Services, Inc., a leading manager of multifamily properties throughout the U.S., has launched upgrades to GFI University, the company’s online learning management system used to support and reinforce learning and development. Powered by The Training Factor, the new GFI University platform was developed to facilitate the company’s full mobile learning initiative.
GFI University allows GFI Management employees to clearly set out performance goals and work directly with their supervisors to create a map for future success. In addition to a host of GFI University homepage enhancements, managers now have the ability to upload and attach individual documents to a “student’s” transcript such as HVAC certificates, achievement badges, awards, job descriptions, improvement plans and diplomas.
“The real estate management industry is changing and, increasingly, the path to career development must be supported by education, both in and out of the classroom,” said Belinda Gillett, director of human resources for GFI Capital Resources Group, Inc. “We are always on the lookout to find new ways to motivate our employees and prepare them with the skills they need in the specific leadership roles as they aspire for career growth.”
The GFI University platform offers entirely customizable functions that streamline communication between employees and their supervisors. It also allows employees to map out their individual career paths and goals while providing them with the corresponding training and management classes that can help them achieve those goals more efficiently.
Other upgrades include the Growth Index and Assessments which help track employee performance and “My Coach” feature which allows students to reply to their coach and attach files for more efficient communication on their learning and development. The new system also provides the ability to easily integrate YouTube videos into developer courses, as well as the ability to assign course pacing by job title.
“By having a multigenerational workforce, we look for ways to keep the team engaged in a blended learning environment. GFI University provides an innovative and interactive platform to motivate employees,” said Amanda Atkinson, regional administrator at GFI Management Services, Inc. “It’s technology like this that is completely changing property management as we know it, and we’re confident this will continue to have a positive impact on our employee professional growth.”
